Maintaining Your Eyebrows At Home

Maintaining eyebrows with waxing

4 easy ways to maintain your brows in between appointments

Learning how to maintain your eyebrows at home is necessary if you want your brows to look spectacular at all times.

Tweezing Between Appointments

If you have growth below the brow line, carefully tweeze them away. Do not attempt to wax or thread eyebrows yourself!! I’ve heard several horror stories when people try to do eyebrow hair removal services at home, so unless you’re a trained professional, leave it to us, that’s what we’re here for! Stylist tip: if you fill in your eyebrows before tweezing, it helps from over tweezing. Only tweeze the stray hairs above or below the brow line. Also, it’s good to stop tweezing at least one week before your appointment, so a good clean shape can be made by your stylist.

Using a Highlighter

A great way to conceal brow hair in between appointments is to use highlighting makeup. This helps to conceal the hairs and brightens and lifts the brows, which creates an overall youthful appearance.

Defining your Brows

To get a more polished look it’s important to enhance the brows. You can do this with a brow pencil, brow powder or a brow gel. Make sure to choose a proper shade. Going too dark can cause an overly dramatic effect. If you need help choosing the right shade or product that is best for your brows, ask your eyebrow stylist!

Trimming is not Recommended

Trimming your brows at home is never a good idea unless you’re an expert. If you are desperate and can’t get to your brow salon, use a brow gel to keep the hairs in place and carefully trim the hairs that are poking outside of the shape. A lot of salons will trim your brows for free, if you ask! I do this for all my clients 🙂
